Ganesh festival is a beautiful 10-day celebration deeply rooted in our culture, bringing faith, happiness and togetherness into our homes. This year, the message was simple yet powerful—let us celebrate Bappa with devotion, creativity and love for nature.
With this thought, an Eco-Friendly Ganesha Idol Making Workshop using natural clay (matti) was organised for the students of Bharat Vidyalaya and Junior College, Ram Nagar, Nagpur.
The workshop aimed to inspire young students to understand the importance of our culture and traditions, while encouraging them to adopt an eco-friendly way of celebrating festivals. The hands-on activity gave the children an opportunity to enhance their creativity, imagination and artistic skills by making their own Ganesha idols from natural clay.
The workshop was conducted under the guidance of Pallavi Upganlawar, a well-known artist, who encouraged the students to explore their creative ideas and experience the joy of creating their own idols.
The initiative beautifully brought together tradition, creativity and environmental awareness, conveying an important message to the younger generation—that our festivals can be celebrated with joy and devotion while respecting and protecting nature.
