Diwali symbolizes light, brightness, happiness, sharing, and goodness. This festival of lights is all about decorating and adding a festive charm to our homes. During this season, people seek innovative and creative ways to enhance their surroundings and fully embrace the festive spirit.
In line with this, Manaswini organized a special Diwali-themed skill development workshop for underprivileged girls in the Sonegao area. A total of 50 girls and women participated enthusiastically in the workshop.
The workshop featured activities such as toran (decorative hangings), rangoli, diya (traditional lamps), and lantern making, all taught by expert instructors. The primary objective was to equip these girls with valuable skills and open up employment opportunities, enabling them to become financially independent.
Ms. Suman Dass and Ms. Chanda Mukase, renowned handicraft experts, dedicated their efforts to ensure the success of this workshop.
