As part of its mission to foster sustainable community development, Manaswini Foundation continues to empower individuals through various skill development initiatives. The belief that teaching a skill is far more impactful than offering short-term financial aid drives these efforts.
On the occasion of Women’s Day, the NGO organized a Paper Bag-Making Workshop at Shaskiya Mahila Vasati Gruha, Katol Road, Nagpur. This special workshop aimed to empower differently-abled women with practical skills that can lead to financial independence and a more secure future.
Experienced trainers Mrs. Suman Dass and Mrs. Chanda Mukase guided the participants through the art of making different types of paper bags, envelopes, and decorative paper flowers. Around 65 women enthusiastically took part in the session.
To ensure equal participation, free raw materials were provided to all attendees. In a thoughtful move, Manaswini also committed to helping sell the finished products in the market — offering these women not only an opportunity to earn personal income, but also a chance to build self-confidence and dignity.
Vocational training for the differently-abled is a vital step towards inclusion. It allows them to harness their potential and lays the foundation for a more independent and stable life.
The workshop concluded with the distribution of snack boxes, and Team Manaswini celebrated Women’s Day in the most meaningful way — by uplifting lives and spreading hope through skill and purpose.
